“The House in the Middle of the Street”
“Jennifer Skliás-Gahan writes and performs a darkly beautiful story that has a flavor of a Victorian gothic fairytale and the depth of Greek drama. Ms. Skliás-Gahan’s wonderful velvet voice narrates this fable using myths and metaphors to tell a story of two little children who visit the house in the middle of the street and nothing in that house is ever the same again. Ms. Skliás-Gahan’s charming dramatization of each character’s voice is just one of the many gems of this audiobook that I loved. Another special touch is the original music sprinkled throughout this intriguing tale. Jennifer Skliás-Gahan’s amazing ability to create the chilling voices of spooky little children, as she narrates her perfect story, rewarding us with a poignant message at the end. Just in time for Halloween and the long nights ahead. Bravo.”
Incredible story, what a masterpiece.
My advice is to listen and watch the illustrations. I didn’t have any interactions during the listening to it. So for me the time flew by and the author’s voice transferred me through this tale. I won't spill the secrets of how it finishes, but trust me you will learn from it. Waiting for the next one.

“A quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed and thought about for some time after finishing. Skliás-Gahan weaves a compelling story with sharp insights and fanciful imagery of the darker side of human behavior. Highly recommend this book.”
“Time flew by with this tale. My recommendation is to listen to it without interactions. Jennifer’s voice is like a meditation, it will carry you and live through this story. I won’t tell all the secrets, but you will be able to learn a lot from this tale.”

A new way to be reminded
“One begins to listen and think they might know the story or some version of it, embracing the Art of ghostly storytelling…but then comes the unexpected twists and a merging of different mythologies and back into the mythology of “the old house” that we all reserve for mind bending tales…And as the ending unwinds, you keep thinking guessing again it might end a certain way, it ends sweetly with a very simple message of ‘clarity’…one sometimes we need to feel and not just hear. And for me, at just the right time.”
“This is a wonderful cautionary tale to remember before opening the door. Beautifully written & illustrated. Looking forward to hearing the narrated version.”
